Summation

MRN complexes localize to nuclear foci in response to double-strand breaks and have been implicated in DNA end-processing during homologous recombination repair (Trujillo et al., 1998). The MRN complex may function as a bridge between double-strand break ends through interactions between the coiled-coil domains of RAD50 (Hoptner et al., 2002).
