Drosophila homolog of RAB6, Rab6, was isolated as the product of warthog (wrt) gene, identified in a genetic screen as a modifier of Notch eye phenotype. RAB6 is a GTP-ase that regulates trafficking through Golgi and trans-Golgi network (TGN).
