Summation

Histone mRNAs are exported by a mechanism that requires TAP, the key factor requires for transport of polyadenylated mRNAs. How TAP is recruited to the histone mRNAs is not known, but it is clear that transport can occur in the absence of either the stemloop or of SLBP. The mature transcript docks at the NPC, in the course of transport CBC will be lost from the mRNA cap, and remain in the nucleous.
