Noradrenaline is degraded by Monoamine oxidase A, which contains FAD as a cofactor. Monoamine oxidase is located in the outer mitochondrial membrane facing the cytoplasm. Monoamine oxidase functions as a monomer and is functional both is astrocyes and neurons.
