Exsomes have been shown to be involved in secretion of WNTs from HEK293 cells as well as from the human colon cancer cell line Caco2 (Gross et al, 2012). In addition, exosomes from cancer-associated fibroblasts have been shown to promote autocrine PCP signaling and protrusive activity and motility in breast cancer cells (Korkut et al, 2009).
