Summation

Two human genes mediate the transport of zinc into the TGN and they are both localized to the TGN. The human gene SLC30A6 encodes the zinc transporter ZnT6. By Western blot studies, ZnT6 is only found in the brain and lung in human (Huang L et al, 2002).
