Activated CDC42 (CDC42:GTP) can localize to kinetochores of metaphase cells and recruit DIAPH2 transcriptional isoform DIAPH2-2 (DIA-12C, mDia3) to kinetochores. The CDC42:GTP:DIAPH2-2 complex regulates the attachment of microtubules to kinetochores (Yasuda et al. 2004).
