CHEK2 (CHK2, Cds1) is recruited to DNA double strand breaks (DSBs) mainly through its interaction with TP53BP1 (53BP1) (Wang et al. 2002), but BRCA1 also contributes to CHEK2 recruitment (Wilson and Stern 2008).
