Binding of RUNX2, presumably associated with CBFB, to RUNX2 response elements in the promoter of the ITGBL1 gene stimulates ITGBL1 transcription. ITGBL1 encodes Integrin beta-like protein 1, which is implicated in regulation of TGF-beta signaling and RUNX2-induced bone metastasis of breast cancer (Li et al. 2015).
