Ampk phosphorylates Ppargc1a

AMPK is activated by AMP and phosphorylates Pgc-1alpha (Ppargc1a) (Jager et al. 2007, Canto et al. 2009). AMPK containing alpha2 and beta2 subunits translocates to the nucleus (Suzuki et al. 2007).
