In mouse cytosol, indolethylamine N-methyltransferase (Inmt) is involved in the methylation of dimethyl selenide (Me2Se) into trimethylselenonium (Me3Se+) in tandem with S-adenosylmethionine (AdoMet) transforming into S-adenosylhomocysteine (AdoHcy) (Mozier et al. 1988).
