Mobp gene expression is inhibited by Mecp2
Mouse Mecp2 directly inhibits transcription of the mouse Mobp gene, encoding myelin-associated oligodendrocyte basic protein. Mopb levels are increased in Mecp2 null mice (Urdinguio et al. 2008).
