Mecp2 binds Irak1 gene
In the mouse cortial callosal projection neurons, Mecp2 binds to a CpG island approximately 1.5 kb upstream of the Irak1 gene transcription start site. Mecp2-mediated regulation of Irak1 transcription appears to be cell type specific (Kishi et al. 2016).
