Gfi1 gene expression is enhanced by Cebpa
Cebpa bound to the promoter of the Gfi1 gene activates transcription of Gfi1 approximately 3-fold (Lidonnici et al 2010, Ma et al. 2014). Activation of the transcription repressor Gfi1 by Cebpa is required for the inhibition of cellular proliferation caused by Cebpa (Lidonnici et al. 2010).
