Transcription of Ppp1r15a
The Ppp1r15a gene is transcribed to yield mRNA (Ma and Hendershot 2003, Zhang et al. 2019). Transcription of Ppp1r15a is activated by Atf4, which binds the Ppp1r15a promoter in response to certain stresses such as endoplasmic reticulum stress (Ma and Hendershot 2003), traumatic brain injury (Farook et al. 2013), and heme deficiency (Zhang et al. 2019).
