Prkaca phosphorylates Creb1
A recombinant mouse cAMP-dependent protein kinase A, catalytic subunit alpha (Prkaca) (Mellon et al. 1989) phosphorylates in vitro a recombinant rat Creb1 (Gonzales et al. 1989) at a specific residue, serine S133. Phosphorylation of S133 is required for signal-induced transcription in vivo (Gonzalez and Montminy 1989).
