GluN1:GluN2B (Grin1:Grin2b) di-heterotetramers bind Dlg1 and Cask
In rat neurons, during transport from the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) to the plasma membrane, the interaction of GluN1:GluN2B (Grin1:Grin2b) NMDA receptors with Dlg1 (Sap97) and Cask diverts NMDA receptors from the somatic Golgi network and directs them through the dendritic ER subcompartment and dendritic Golgi instead (Jeyifous et al. 2009).
