An aldehyde dehydrogenase (ALDH) yet to be cloned in humans has been observed to oxidise 20-aldehyde leukotriene B4 (20cho-LTB4) to form 20-carboxy leukotriene B4 (20cooh-LTB4) (Sutyak et al. 1989).
