CHEK2 (CHK2, Cds1) is recruited to DNA double-strand breaks (DSBs) mainly through its interaction with TP53BP1 (53BP1) (Wang et al. 2002), but BRCA1 also contributes to CHEK2 recruitment (Wilson and Stern 2008).
