Binding of TP53 (p53) to the p53 response element(s) in the promoter of the ZNF385A (HZF) gene stimulates ZNF385A transcription (Das et al. 2007). TP53-mediated induction of ZNF385A is conserved in mouse (Sugimoto et al. 2006, Das et al. 2007).
