E2F6, presumably in complex with at least TFDP1 (DP-1) or TFDP2 (DP-2), binds the promoter of the RAD51 gene. Binding of E2F6 to the RAD51 promoter is inhibited by CHEK1-mediated phosphorylation of E2F6 (Bertoli et al. 2013).
