ALK signaling promotes expression of the CD274 gene by stimulating STAT3 binding to its promoter (Marzec et al, 2008). CD274 is a plasma membrane immunosuppressive protein that stimulates immune evasion by binding to its ligand CD279 (reviewed in Kythreotou et al, 2017).
