After binding CSF3 (G-CSF), the CSF3 receptor CSF3R is internalized into endosomes (Aarts et al. 2004). Only a minor portion of CSF3R is located at the plasma membrane. Most CSF3R is located internally in the Golgi, endosomes, and lysosomes (Aarts et al. 2004). Endocytosis depends on a dileucine motif in the C-terminal region of CSF3R (inferred from mouse homologs).
