Gamma secretase cleaves Dner:Notch1 complex
In the mouse myogenic cell line C2C12, transfected with a full-length mouse Notch1 expressing vector, NICD1 produced by S3 cleavage is detectable after cells are treated with a soluble recombinant mouse Dner. Also, the effect of soluble Dner on morphology of Notch1 expressing primary glial cells isolated from mouse cerebellum is dependent on the activity of gamma-secretase.
