Expression of Avp (Arginine Vasopressin, Vasopressin-neurophysin 2-copeptin)

The Avp gene is transcribed to yield mRNA and the mRNA is translated to yield protein. The Bmal1:Clock (Arntl:Clock) heterodimer binds an E-box in the Avp promoter and activates transcription of Avp.
