Nbea translocates to the nucleus
Based on studies conducted in a mouse neuroblastoma cell line Neuro2a, on either endogenous or recombinant mouse neurobeachin (Nbea), it was found that Nbea was largely present in the cytoplasmic fraction of the cell, but a small portion of Nbea was nuclear. A nuclear localization signal (NLS) was mapped to the domain of unknown function (DUF1088) of Nbea and was shown to play a role in translocation to the nucleus (Tuand et al. 2016).
