Expression of Sry in testis differentiation

The Sry gene is transcribed to yield mRNA and the mRNA is translated to yield Sry protein (Tevosian et al. 2002, Miyamoto et al. 2008, Manuylov et al. 2011). Transcription of Sry is activated by Wt1 (Miyamoto et al. 2008), Gata1:Zfpm2 (Gata4:Fog2, Tevosian et al. 2002, Miyamoto et al. 2008, Manuylov et al. 2011), and Nr5a1 (SF1, Gierl et al. 2012).
