Znt2 facilitates zinc vesicular sequestration
Rat Znt2 can confer resistance to zinc toxicity in a zinc-sensitive cell line. Znt2 mediated the accumulation of zinc in endosomes, visualized within these vesicles with zinquin, a zinc-specific fluorescent probe (Palmiter RD et al, 1996).
