translocation of Xenopus prkca to plasma membrane

Myc-tagged PKC alpha translocates from the cytosol to the plasma membrane when Xenopus embryos are co-injected with XWNT-5A, Rfz2, Mfz3, Mfz4, or Mfz6 RNA. In contrast, PKC activation was not observed upon co-injection with XWNT-8 or Rfz1 RNA, both of which have been shown to activate beta-catenin-dependent signaling (Sheldahl et al, 1999).
